REMAINING grew out of John’s years of reading Scripture, examining his own life, and writing at Standing Firm in Faith. He writes as a fellow follower of Jesus, still learning and still open to correction.
In the Author’s Note, John puts the purpose plainly: “The plan is a tool. He is the Savior.” The invitation is to open your Bible, love the people God has placed before you, and consider a faithful response within your real circumstances.
The book speaks especially to Christian men considering the years ahead. You do not need to be retired, married, healthy, financially secure, or free of regret. Readers walking alongside someone they love are welcome too.
Scripture is the authority.
This journey offers teaching and reflection, not a claim to speak God’s particular direction over your life. Bring what you read to Scripture, prayer, your local church, and wise counsel. Trust the Holy Spirit’s work, and return to grace when you fail.
